BIBLE STUDY: RICHES OF HIS GRACE
BIBLE STUDY I: UNDERSTANDING THE GRACE OF GOD
TEXT: EPH 1:7-10; TITUS 2:11
INTRODUCTION
This special edition of TACSFON National conference is a celebration of the beauty and the glory of God’s presence. His glorious presence demonstrated in His grace gave us the privilege of redemption and salvation from the bondage of sin and death. In the fullness of wisdom and knowledge of god and His love for us he gave us Christ who lavished his grace upon us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,(Rom 5:8) so in him we receive redemption which is ransom from slavery( Deut 7:8; 2 sam 7:23) forgiveness of our trespasses-freed from slavery to sin and guilt by Christ blood.
So the death of Christ was an atoning sacrifice (Eph 2:13, Heb 9:15). All these kindness were product of His Grace.
In this Bible study, we shall examine the understanding of the grace of God, May the lord guild us to the understanding of the mystery of his Grace.
WHAT IS GRACE?
Grace means unmerited Divine favor, the original Greek word for Grace is “CHARIS” derived from the verb “CHARIZOMIA”, this word means to show favor. It assumes the “graciousness of the giver and the unworthiness of the recipient”. So when CHARIS is used of God’s activity, it means Unmerited favor. The word grace appeared often in the bible especially in the New Testament, and one of the profoundly significant words in the scripture.

FURTHER EXPLANATION OF GRACE:-
A.   Grace is a living person (i.e. God himself, who is embodied in Christ and who passed through incarnation, human living, crucifixion and resurrection to become the life giving spirit that He might enter into us to be our life and our life supply (Rom. 5:2, 1Cor. 15:10; Gal.6:18 ).
B.   Grace came through Christ and is Christ himself (Jon. 1:14&17; 2Thes 1:12)
IMPORTANT REALITIES OF GOD’S GRACE
       I.            Grace is timeless ( 2Tim 1:9) Eternity is not linear time extended indefinitely, but a timeless dimension God inhabits (Isa 57:15) Grace originated there, beyond human control.
II.            Grace is unmerited ( 2Tim. 1:9 ) works is excluded from God’s purpose and grace, Apostle Paul  clarifies this that Grace is  disassociated with merits ( Rom. 11:6). It is not dependent of obedience to the law (Rom 6:14).
III.            Grace is a divine quality, it is a character of each of the member the Trinity .
a)     Father (Rom. 1: 7)
b)    Son (Gal 6:1
c)     Holy Spirit (Zech. 12:10, Heb 10:29)
IV.            Grace is sovereign (Eph 1:7-9) Paul expressed God’s sovereignty in grace by associating it with his good pleasure which he purposed in Himself. It is the choice of God and He consulted with no one. It is the only basis for our acceptance with God (Eph 1:6). Forgiveness of sins, redemption through Christ’s blood, wisdom and understanding and all spiritual blessings are given by Grace alone (Eph 1:1-5).
   V.            Grace is holy ( Titus  2:12): grace is not a certificate to sin , it teaches us to be holy and live godly and self-controlled life ( Jude 4) Jude warned us to be careful of these who use the platform of Grace to teach freedom to act carnally.
WAYS TO RECEIVE GOD’S GRACE
1)    Through God’s love and mercy and the fellowship of the holy spirit (1 John 4:8; 1tim 1:13-14; Titus 3: 4-6; Heb 4: 16).
2)    Through humbling ourselves before God (James 4 :16; 1 peter  5:5).
3)    Through believing in the lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:2).
4)    By Loving the lord Jesus Christ (Eph 6:24).
5)    By exercising our human spirit (Heb 4:16; Gal 6:18).
6)    Through suffering and trial arranged for us by God ( 2 Cor 12:9 ; Rom 5:3).
7)    Through the need of grace as contained in the scripture or spoken to us by the believers in Christ (Act 20:32; Eph 4:29; Col 4:6).
THE RESULT OF RECEIVING GOD’S GRACE
1)    By the grace of God we are Justified by God (Rom. 3:24; Titus 3:7)
2)    By the grace of God we are saved (Eph 2:7-8 ; titus 2:11).
3)    The grace of god guarantees our peace(Rom. 1:7; 1 Pet 5:14).
4)    The  grace gives us power to reign in gods divine life over all negative things (Rom 5:17,21).
5)    We are empowered and made strong by God’s Grace( 2 Tim 2:1).
6)    We become members of the body of Christ with spiritual gift produced in us by grace for the building up of the body of Christ ( Roman 12:6 ; Eph 4:7)
Conclusion
Grace is unmerited favor from God. It is sovereign, dependent solely on God’s will. Grace remains the opposite of merit. Though God offers mercy to all mankind, conditioned on repentance, his grace is bestowed on us by his divine election. Grace is sole cause of salvation, not base on any human contribution.
Grace makes it possible for a believer to walk with God, and gives power to do Gods work. God alone is the cause of grace though he requires Christians to apply faithfully the means he has put at our disposal to grow which include:
a)     Word of God
b)    Prayer
c)     The ministry of the church
REFLECTIONS
1)    Grace is Unmerited divine favor.
2)    It is eternal.
3)    It is holy and powerful divine quality .
4)    Grace and mercy are similar but not identical .
5)    Mercy is offers to all but grace is bestowed on some.
6)    Saving faith itself is a work of grace .
7)    Believers depend on God alone for his sustaining grace while applying the means word, prayer and the ministries of the church.
 BILBE STUDY II
TOPIC; RICHES OF HIS GRACE
TEXT: EPH 1:2, 7-8; 2PET 3:18; 2 TIM 2:1
Introduction:
The scripture is full of important concept and principle. The riches of the Grace of God is one of them. The New Testament speaks of grace for 116 times directly and more than 100 times indirectly, the riches of His grace is so important that in this conference we should have a wide and proper knowledge of it. The is because we had better get a grip of God’s grace and let Him get His grip of grace firmly upon us.
In the last study, we have had a clearer understanding of what Grace is all about, we shall at this point have a further understanding for easy flow.
       I.            A divine attitude and attributed of God’s heart, it is born within the heart of God, and it is from there and there it flows (Jn 1:15-17). The O.T equivalent of Grace is “favor”(chen-hbr) which denotes God looking upon my weakness and pitiful life and finds me unbelievably  attractive. So attractive that he desires to draw me near to him and share all his great wealth with me.
II.            A divine store house of every kind of riches we might ever need for life and godliness. The grace of God is more than an attitude in his heart toward us. The riches of heaven are made available to us in Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 8:9; Eph 1:3, 7, 8).
RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN CHRIST
1.     Complete forgiveness of sin (Eph 1:6-7): As believers, do not live with guilt conscience because our forgiveness is reality in Christ Jesus.
2.     Complete victory over the power of sin  in our lives ( Rom. 6:14).
3.     Fellowship with the father and Jesus Christ (1 John 1:1-3).
4.     A life of complete victory in the area of our emotion (Gal 5: 21-22).
5.     Financial provision for daily life and generous lifestyle of giving ( 2 Cor.9: 6-11).

III.            Grace is the divine working of God in the human heart to conform the life to Christ and bring true holiness in the life of the believers.. it do not give us certificate to live like the world, No(Rom 6:1-2; 1 Jn 2:15)
NOTE: a worldly lifestyle and being bound in sin is a sign of one of several things :-
·        When we are not truly a believer in Jesus Christ and have only played religion. The power of God is not in any way working within us to perfect holiness.
·        Though converted but remain carnal in our desire and mindsets. This is a very dangerous place to be.
·        Though children of God but have not discovered the power of his Grace to free us and conform us to the image of Jesus Christ. You try to do everything In your own power by vain religious works. (Titus 2:11-14) God gave us an amazing promise about the power of his grace working within our heart to live as a force for holiness and true righteousness.
IV.            The working of God in a human life to set him apart and equip him for effective service. It is the desire of God for his grace to work in our heart for kingdom exploit and fruitful service to God (2 Cor. 5:14-15; Eph 3:7-8; 1 Cor. 15 :10)

PROVISION OF THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE
We received the following from the riches of his grace:-
A.   Redemption through His blood (Eph. 1:7) This means release effected by payment of ransom we were captives, unable to free ourselves from sin, which held us in bondage. We have been released through the payment of a particular price (the blood of Jesus Christ)
B.   The forgiveness of our sins (Eph 1:7-8) God overwhelming supplied his grace to meet the need of redemption and forgiveness of the dying man.
C.   From the forgiveness of our sins (our standing in Christ) to ministry (our walking with Christ) is the product of grace. The grace of God should be appreciated for enablement to express the life of God to this generation (only his Grace is sufficient for the task) (1 Pet 1:10-11)
D.   All the wealth of heaven is only available through his grace.
E.    The riches of his grace has the power to bring this generation into the kingdom of God ; i.e. reigning with him ( Rom. 5: 17;Jn. 1:16)
F.    Revealed to us the mystery his will ( Eph 1:8:9) Gods will is a mystery that is progressively being made known to his people through his grace ..we do not know in detail of his plan covering our future, we know in part but by his riches of grace the mystery  of his will is revealed in Christ ( Jn 15: 14-15).

CONCLUSION
(Titus 2:11-14) for the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purity unto himself a peculiar zealous of good works.

TEXT: EPH 1:20, 1:4; HEB 15:6-7

Position is a place meant for you no matter the place you are you must have a position , the must be a place you are occupying. What is your position in this second half of this yr, we take tin the way we see them because we don’t know our position in life. First you must understand your position.

POSITION YOU MUST OCCUPY

·        2ND IS THE POSITION YOU OCCUPY IN HEAVEN.
If when you don’t know your right that’s why u beg the devil to leave your life, but  until u understand your position you will never prosper( Job 22:28). Now you don’t need to beg the enemy to stop working in your family. And you must understand the power in the name of Jesus. What position will you occupy in this month?, do you know people make scarifies for each month and after the scarifies they take charge of the month but you are there struggling and I declare any where your position have being trapped I declare freedom now.

HOW TO GET YOUR POSITION
1.     You must desire that position before you get( act 16:25) Paul  and Silas  prayed and sang until something happen. You must speak to God .
2.     (1 Cor 14:2; 1 Thess. Learn to speak in tong because the enemy doesn’t understand it, and you communicate directly with God
